The Community of Practice is an interactive web site for all health professionals working, researching, learning and exploring professional development opportunities in the area of stroke care. Whether you are a new graduate or a more seasoned clinician, a steering committee member, or expert in your field, the Community of Practice values input from persons with all levels of experience who have the goal of improving stroke care.

Initial focus groups that led to the recommendation of developing a Community of Practice identified the most typical member to be health care professionals working in stroke care.

The membership usually works in acute care, rehabilitation, and community settings. However, representatives from educational institutions, researchers, and stroke leadership are invited to participate as members in the Community of Practice.

If you do not feel you are represented in these groupings, please go to the sign up page and fill in your interest, profession, or relationship to improving stroke care under the “other” category. Your membership request will be reviewed and considered with a reply being sent to you within one week.

Resources and links to local stroke networks provided on the home page might be of more relevance to you if you are looking for information for the general public.
